Elick has lived in Bellville, Texas all of his life and has been practicing law in Bellville, Austin County, Texas since 1973, when he received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Houston Law Center. Since then, Jim Elick has worked as a solo attorney in the same law office building as his father, uncle and aunt, who all have separate law practices located in the Elick Law Office Building, 7 N. Harris, Bellville, Texas. Mr. Jim Elick is engaged in the general practice of law, including civil litigaton, criminal law, family law, real estate, probate and estate planning. Jim Elick was elected president of the Austin County Bar Association by his peers for a term of office beginning July 1, 2012 and ending June 30, 2012.
